Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Inkite (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our brand name generation service (“Service”). We believe in transparency — this policy is written in plain language so you know exactly what happens with your data.
1. What we collect
Information you provide
- Company descriptions, keywords, tone preferences, and other inputs you submit to generate brand names.
- Any feedback or messages you send to us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, generation requests made, and interaction patterns.
- Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and language preference.
- IP address (used for analytics and abuse prevention; not linked to your inputs).
What we do not collect
- We do not require account creation, email addresses, or personal identification to use the Service.
- We do not collect payment information (the Service is currently free).
2. How we use your data
- To provide the Service — your inputs are sent to AI providers to generate brand name suggestions and returned to you in real time.
- To improve quality — we analyze aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most, average generation times) to improve the Service. We do not review individual inputs for this purpose.
- To prevent abuse — we use rate limiting and IP-based signals to protect the Service from automated misuse.
3. Prompt storage and model training
We do not store your prompts or generated outputs long-term. Your inputs are processed in real time and are not written to a persistent database on our servers.
We do not use your inputs to train or fine-tune AI models. Your company descriptions and generated names are not fed back into any machine learning training pipeline — ours or any third party's.
Transient server logs (which may contain request metadata) are retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security purposes, then automatically deleted.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Inkite:
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude API) | AI name generation | Your inputs (company description, preferences) |
| Google Analytics | Usage analytics | Page views, events, device info, IP address |
| Vercel | Hosting and edge functions | Request metadata, server logs |
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We select providers that offer strong data protection practices. Notably, Anthropic's API data policy states that API inputs are not used to train their models.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
6. Data retention
- User inputs and outputs: not stored persistently. Processed in real time and discarded.
- Server logs: retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics default settings (14 months), configured to the minimum available.
- Feedback emails: retained as long as needed to respond, then archived or deleted.
7. Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest, including HTTPS encryption for all connections, access controls on infrastructure, and secure API key management.
No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your information, we will notify affected users promptly.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to certain types of data processing.
Because we do not require accounts and do not store inputs persistently, most user data is transient and not retained. If you have a specific data request, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Children's privacy
Inkite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
Inkite is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
