Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Inkite (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our brand name generation service (“Service”). We believe in transparency — this policy is written in plain language so you know exactly what happens with your data.

1. What we collect

Information you provide

  • Company descriptions, keywords, tone preferences, and other inputs you submit to generate brand names.
  • Any feedback or messages you send to us directly.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, generation requests made, and interaction patterns.
  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and language preference.
  • IP address (used for analytics and abuse prevention; not linked to your inputs).

What we do not collect

  • We do not require account creation or personal identification to use the free tier of the Service.
  • If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide the Service — we process your inputs using third-party AI services to generate results and return them to you in real time.
  • To improve quality — we analyze aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most, average generation times) to improve the Service. We do not review individual inputs for this purpose.
  • To prevent abuse — we use rate limiting and IP-based signals to protect the Service from automated misuse.

3. Prompt storage and model training

We store your company description and generated outputs in order to deliver results, enable the public inspiration board, and improve the Service. Free-tier results may appear on the public board; paid results are private by default.

We do not use your inputs to train or fine-tune AI models. Your company descriptions and generated names are not fed back into any machine learning training process — ours or any third party's.

Transient server logs (which may contain request metadata) are retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security purposes, then automatically deleted.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Inkite:

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We choose providers that offer strong data protection practices. Your inputs are not used to train AI models by our providers.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

6. Data retention

  • User inputs and outputs: stored to deliver results and power the public board. Paid results are private. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Server logs: retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
  • Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics default settings (14 months), configured to the minimum available.
  • Feedback emails: retained as long as needed to respond, then archived or deleted.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest, including HTTPS encryption for all connections, access controls on infrastructure, and secure API key management.

No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your information, we will notify affected users promptly.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data.
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to certain types of data processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's privacy

Inkite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

Inkite is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
